My career journey
In 2013, I opened NIKA Athletics, where I didn’t understand the difference between being a business owner and a leader.
I realized that staff members aren’t mindreaders and required more guidance than I was equipped to provide.
My gym’s finances felt uncontrollable, and I felt like I was working every minute for pennies.
In 2015, I enrolled in a business mentorship program that helped me make my weakest links my strongest asset.
I began to identify problems in my gym, including lack of systems and clear communication, and things started to improve day by day.
In January 2020, I purchased the building that the gym was renting from with a 20% cash down payment.
For over four years, my gym has maintained a 33% profit margin—without requiring me to work 24/7.
Flash forward to today, where I’ve successfully sold NIKA Athletics and I am ready to share my learned leadership and business wisdom with hundreds of entrepreneurs.
