Power Up Your 2025: Simplified Planning, Personal Growth, and Energizing Your Business

3 Powerful Lessons to Prepare for Your Best Year Yet: Planning, Growth, and Energy

As we approach the final stretch of the year, it’s the perfect time to start thinking about what’s next. For me, that means diving deep into 2025 and getting clear on what I want both professionally and personally. I’ve learned a few key lessons recently that I’m excited to share with you—because they’ve changed the way I plan and approach everything from business goals to daily energy.

Lesson #1: Start Planning Your 2025 Now—It’s Time to Simplify
It’s easy to overcomplicate our annual business plans, but simplicity is key to execution. For 2025, my strategy is straightforward: focus on just two things each month. One task will focus on marketing to bring in more clients, and the other will be a way to increase revenue.

Why these two? Because marketing brings new opportunities, and focusing on revenue ensures the business grows in a sustainable way. At Bee, we believe that profit is not a dirty word. In fact, it's what allows us to build, give back, and create the life we want. If you're mapping out your own business plan, ask yourself: what are the two essential things I can focus on each month to drive growth?

Lesson #2: Your Personal Annual Plan is Just as Important as Your Business Plan
While planning for business success is crucial, don’t forget to prioritize your personal growth as well. Next year, I’m putting equal energy into my personal annual plan, and here’s how I’m structuring it: two monthly goals.

  • Lifestyle goals: These include planned trips, date nights, or special events that add richness to my life.

  • Personal improvement goals: Starting in January, I’ll stack habits that will lead to the best version of myself by year’s end.

Think of your personal plan as an extension of your business plan. When your life is aligned with what matters most, you’ll find more energy, motivation, and success in everything else you do.

If you’d like a framework for either your business or personal annual plan, let me know in the comments. I’d be happy to help you set up a simple, actionable structure for 2025.

Lesson #3: Business is an Endurance Race—Flip the Script on Stress
Since September 23rd, I’ve been running at full speed—33 hours of Zoom meetings, two masterminds, one summit, and travels in between. I’ve also supported Kara as she deployed for Hurricane Helene, while keeping up with countless dinners and coffees with clients.

In the past, I would have predicted burnout, telling myself that I was going to end up sick or exhausted. Unsurprisingly, that’s exactly what would happen. But this year, I changed the story. Instead of telling myself, “This will drain me,” I started saying, “This gives me energy.”

And guess what? It worked.

Business—and life—are not sprint races. They are endurance events. The more we learn to embrace the long days and weeks, reframing them as opportunities for growth and energy, the more we can achieve without feeling overwhelmed. The next time you’re faced with a packed schedule, stand tall and tell yourself, “This gives me energy.” You’ll be amazed at how that simple mindset shift changes your entire experience.

Wrapping It Up: Two Wins and One Lifestyle Flex
Every week, I like to celebrate both small and big wins. Here’s what’s lighting me up lately:

  • Win #1: One of my Bee clients is transitioning from solo entrepreneurship to managing a staff of five. By systemizing her business and setting clear expectations, she’s gained more freedom to travel and dance—things she loves most.

  • Win #2: The Bee is just one private client away from full capacity, which means I’ll be opening group mentorship opportunities soon. This is a huge milestone, and I’m thrilled to see the community continue to grow.

Lifestyle Flex: October brings an exciting car camping trip to the Outer Banks for Kara and me. After that, we’ll be fully focused on building our dream home this winter. But something tells me we might sneak in a trip to Costa Rica before too long. ;)

As we get ready for the new year, I encourage you to simplify your plans, prioritize personal growth, and shift your mindset when things feel overwhelming. These three lessons have already made a huge difference for me, and I know they can do the same for you.

Here’s to making 2025 our best year yet!
