BOOKING INFORMATION
To apply for a Hive experience an initial deposit is requested to reserve your space. The remaining amount is paid a month prior to arrival (See Payment Plans option just added to our experiences).

Private and shared rooms availability are on a first-come, first-served basis. Please book your reservations early to receive your preferred accommodation. We reserve the right to refuse bookings at our discretion.

TRAVEL AND FLIGHT INFORMATION
Please double check availability before booking your flight tickets. The Hive doesn't include the airfare to and from Golfito. If you decide to extend your stay in the area, we can guide you on how to achieve your most desired vacation, from lodging to all sort of inspiring and fun activities.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION
To enter and exit Costa Rica, you must bring a valid passport with at least 6 months remaining before expiration date. Most of the countries are not required to issue a Visa to enter but please double-check with your embassy before booking an experience with us. During the check-in of your flight, you might be asked to show a return ticket from Costa Rica before 90 days since the arrival date. All clients must be +18 years old and have medical insurance issued by their own travel agent to join any Hive experience.

All guests should sign the following disclaimer to be a part of any Hive Experiences. There is no exception to this policy.

Surf Experience Disclaimer

I, [Guest's Full Name], acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions during my participation in the surf experience organized by The Hive :

1. Preservation of Local Communities: I understand and respect the importance of preserving the identity and tranquility of the small towns we visit. I commit to not disclosing specific locations, tagging on social media, or mentioning the names of these places in public forums.

2. Privacy and Respect: I will be mindful of the local community's privacy, refraining from intrusive photography, and respecting the customs and culture of the area.

3. Environmental Stewardship: I pledge to maintain environmental responsibility, disposing of waste properly and leaving no trace behind. I will follow guidelines provided to protect the natural beauty of the locations we explore.

4. Group Harmony: I will contribute positively to the group dynamic, fostering a spirit of unity and camaraderie among fellow participants and respecting the leadership of the experience guides.

5. Social Media Usage: I understand the potential impact of social media on these small communities and agree to refrain from sharing specific locations, unless explicitly permitted by the guides.

I affirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these guidelines to ensure a harmonious and respectful surf experience for all.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The following is our cancellation policy: There is no refund for arriving late or leaving an adventure early.

Cancel 61 days or more prior to the retreat start date: you can either apply a 100% credit towards another retreat date or cancel in full and be charged a cancellation fee of $500.

Cancel 60 – 30 days prior to the retreat start date: you can either apply a credit towards another retreat minus an office fee of 60% of your total retreat package or be charged a cancellation fee of 75% of your total retreat package.

Cancel 29 – 15 days prior to the retreat start date: you can either apply a credit towards another retreat minus an office fee of 70% of your total retreat package or be charged a cancellation fee of 85% of your total retreat package.

Cancel 14 days or fewer prior to the retreat start date: you will be charged a 100% cancellation fee.

No Exceptions to Cancellation Policy: There are no exceptions to our cancellation policy, including but not limited to COVID-19, weather, personal emergencies, flight cancellations, or delays. We highly recommend purchasing Travel Protection Insurance.

Disclaimer: "The Hive we value your commitment to your chosen experience. To ensure a seamless process, we kindly request customers to fulfill payment, submit required documentation, and establish direct communication with our team within two weeks of the scheduled retreat. Please be advised that The Hive reserves the right to cancel reservations if any of these are not met. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating enriching and hassle-free retreats."

Refunds: Expect 10-14 business days for refunds to be completed and for your money to be reflected in your original payment method.

All the activities supplied by The Hive carry with them a degree of risk both to people and equipment, even though enjoyed under proper supervision by qualified instructors. They are also some activities that require those taking part to have a reasonable standard of health and fitness. 

All clients must inform of any medical conditions, illnesses or allergies they may have and any prescribed medication they might be taking prior booking. 

No one should participate in any activity if they are suffering from a heart condition or are pregnant. 

No client should in any circumstances take part in an activity while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication, which may adversely affect their physical abilities.

After reserving your space, we will send out Liability Release Forms for you to fill up and sign before starting the trip.

There will be NO exceptions to this policy.

Once you book your The Hive retreat, you will receive a Welcome Kit with helpful information you might need for the week. This includes informative description of the area, tips on what to pack, extra activities to explore and much more.
